How do I switch languages?
Open Language Peek and use the language selector in the app's preferences. The current beginner collection includes German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. Progress is tracked independently per language.
How do lessons and reviews work?
Learn a word using its picture, pronunciation and example sentence. Rate how well you remembered it, or practice through a short quiz. The review scheduler decides when previously learned words are due again. If you're caught up, you can browse the word library or practice for fun.
Why can't I hear pronunciation?
Language Peek uses your Android text-to-speech provider. Check your device's volume, text-to-speech engine and installed language voice packs. Some providers require additional downloads or an Internet connection. Available voices and accents vary by device.
Why are notifications or floating cards not showing?
Reminders must first be enabled in the app. Android may require notification permission, and battery optimization may delay background work. Floating cards are optional and experimental; they require additional Android “Display over other apps” permission. Some devices and sensitive applications block overlays. Use the standard notification mode when needed.
Check the app's quiet hours, frequency setting, and temporary pause state. You can turn floating mode off without affecting your vocabulary or local progress.
Is Language Peek offline?
The built-in vocabulary, illustrations, local reviews and preferences are available without an app account. Google advertising, applicable consent messages, and some Android speech services may require an Internet connection.
How do I save or recover my learning progress?
Use the app's local backup/export option to save your study progress to a JSON file you choose. If you reinstall or move to another device, select the import/restore option and choose that file. Restoring a newer backup may replace existing data, including review history; read the in-app confirmation carefully. Android system backup is not guaranteed to restore the app's data.
Why am I seeing ads, or why is an ad unavailable?
Ad-supported releases may show ads delivered by Google AdMob. Their availability depends on the released app version, Internet access, region, privacy settings and ad inventory. Ads do not determine your vocabulary review schedule. Read our Privacy Policy for data processed by Google's ads services and the choices your device may offer.
How do I remove my data?
If you want to remove locally stored app data, you can clear Language Peek's storage from Android Settings or uninstall the app. This can permanently remove progress. Delete any previously exported backup files separately from your chosen storage location. Fehistro Studio does not operate a Language Peek learning-data account that you can sign into.
How do I report a problem?
When contacting us, include your phone model, Android version, Language Peek version, selected learning language, and what happened. A screenshot helps if it does not contain sensitive information. Please do not send passwords, personal account details or advertising identifiers.
