Terms of Use

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Use govern your use of Language Peek: Learn Languages (the Android app) and the informational website languagepeek.fehistrostudio.pp.ua, provided by Fehistro Studio. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms to the extent allowed by applicable law. If you do not agree, you can stop using and uninstall the app.

2. Learning features and accuracy

Language Peek provides illustrated beginner vocabulary, example sentences, pronunciation through Android text-to-speech, quizzes, progress tracking, and optional reminders. Content is designed for informal practice. Translations, pronunciations, examples and spaced review schedules may contain errors or vary by region, dialect or speech provider. We do not promise fluency, standardized proficiency outcomes, or educational certification.

3. Pricing and advertising

The intended Google Play offering is free and may be supported by ads. Ad formats, availability and frequency may differ by app version, location, device and consent preferences. Advertising is provided by third parties and may open external websites or apps. Their offers and information are their responsibility. Any future in-app purchases, subscriptions or additional optional benefits must be described separately before they are introduced.

4. Permissions and notifications

Reminders require your choice and may need Android notification permission. The experimental floating vocabulary card feature requires separately granted system overlay permission and may be restricted or blocked by Android. You can deny these optional permissions without losing ordinary in-app vocabulary study. We cannot guarantee precise notification times or reliable overlays on every device.

5. Your learning records and backups

Progress is primarily stored on your device. Optional user-created backup files may include review history and should be stored carefully. You are responsible for maintaining backups if progress is important to you. Resetting app data, uninstalling, changing devices or importing a backup may replace or remove local records. Device backup services and their reliability are outside our control.

6. Fair use

Please use the app and website lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with the app, compromise our website, misuse automated requests, impersonate the developer, or distribute modified or deceptive versions as if they were official. Your lawful consumer rights and rights under applicable open-source software licenses are not restricted by this paragraph.

7. Intellectual property

The Language Peek name, site design, original artwork and app materials are owned by or licensed to Fehistro Studio and its licensors, except where otherwise stated. Installing the app grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive right to use it under these terms and applicable law. Names of other services (including Android, Google Play, Google AdMob and Cloudflare) belong to their respective owners and are mentioned for identification only.

8. Third-party services

Some functionality may rely on Android text-to-speech providers, Google Play, Google Mobile Ads and consent services, and Cloudflare website hosting. Those providers have their own terms and privacy notices. Read our Privacy Policy for how information may be processed by third parties.

9. Updates, interruptions and limitations

We may improve, update, change or discontinue aspects of the app or website, subject to applicable law. Features may be unavailable because of connection problems, Android restrictions, disabled permissions or provider outages. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are offered as available and we do not guarantee that either will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every phone.

Nothing in these terms overrides statutory consumer rights or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Where permitted by law, Fehistro Studio is not responsible for indirect losses or lost local progress resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms with a revised date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice where required. Continuing to use the app or website after an effective update may indicate acceptance where allowed by law.
